So let me start by telling you what Microformats is all about. Microformats is a simple way to add information to website.
According to microformats.org:

Using microformats makes your data easy to consume and publish in a standardized way, so that you can do things like make your data available for indexing, searching or to do tasks like download a contact’s information or add an event to your calendar simply.

Wow isn’t that neat, so you mean now i can have a to-do-list to my site with microformats and my users can download it and keep up with my daily actives how cool is that I hope my actives are interesting. But the best part of microformats and the most useful to my needs is the hcard ( online business). So now on my current portfolio site i have a contact me page but the icing on the cake would be for client or users to have the ability to keep my contact information on file in there phone contacts, outlook contact etc… and have the ability to contact me even when there not online.

Flash and Microformats?

Does this work with Flash? Well after using my world famous Google search i came across a flash app called Yourminis which is a web widget for your desktop, website,or blog. Its a browser extension that allow you to add to easily add information to your site. Although it doesn’t quite work in the way of adding Microformat to a flash site but it does allow you to take all the information from a website with microformat on it and add it to your Yourminis web app.
