Don’t you just hate when your browsing a website and you get that ugly Error 404 - Not Found. I know i do sometimes get so frustrated with not being able to find the site I’m looking for i just move on.
But we don’t want to loose users, we want to help them find the site there looking for. How you might ask,well simply by customizing your 404 error page. A way you can lead a user on the right path. Is by adding a redirect path on your 404 page that links back to the home page this way the user can start from the home page and use the navigation to get where they need to be. Or if you have a site map you can redirect the user there, they can see all the pages you have on the site and go directly to the page there look for.
