The O.N.E. serves the community by delivering inspirational productions to nursing homes, homeless shelters, women and children’s shelters, jails and community events. They have rendered voluntary dance and performing arts instructions for students that can not afford lessons. In addition, the O.N.E. has raised funds for charity groups as well as utilized the arts for mentorship purposes to raise self esteem and positive self image in youth.
Dance and performing arts are fun and exciting. They contribute to a well-rounded education and allow students to create and express concepts, stories and ideas via performance. The arts teach discipline, perseverance and team work. Dance is a great way to exercise and condition the body, which contributes to overall health. The arts bring out charisma, personality and courage that may not be expressed in students on an ordinary basis.
